Details Etching and drypoint. Black ink on thin antique paper. In print, bottom left, ‘Seymour Haden 1860’
Description The plate captures a scene in Viscount Hawarden’s estate in South Tipperary, Ireland. Legend has it that, shortly after the first impressions were taken, the plate was lost only being rediscovered in a stable some years later. According to H. Nazeby Harrington only forty impressions were printed in total.
